Samsung’s Galaxy S9 is on its way and the latest leak shows the phone up and running.
A video posted on Chinese blogging site Weibo shows a touch screen on what appears to be a new Samsung phone, complete with the flagship-level Infinity Display, being put to the test. The video is hardly a swish showcase of Samsung’s next major smartphone, but if its legitimate, it does provide a early glimpse into what the Galaxy S9 will look like.
At least, that’s what it’ll look like from the front, as the 10 second video doesn’t show the handset’s rear. But what we can see is that the design of the Galaxy S8 will be carried over to the Galaxy S9, with the phone sporting an edge-to-edge curved OLED display that appears to be pretty much the same dimensions of the screen found on its predecessor.
The Galaxy S9 is also expected to have a a dual camera module on its rear to offer an upgrade over the Galaxy S8 camera array, not that the latter had poor camera performance by any measure.
Slated to be revealed some time near Mobile World Congress 2018 at the end of next month, Samsung has kept tight lipped about the details of the Galaxy S9, so we’ll have to wait a little longer to see which rumours are true and which have fallen to the wayside.
